Boone Excel students are looking to  raise money for the Special Olympics “Fun Fair.” The fundraiser is on Wednesday, May 3 from 5-9 pm at Pizza Ranch. One hundred percent of the proceeds go towards the Fun Fair.

This year excel students will be working the buffet at Pizza Ranch. Every time a buffet is bought with a coupon, $2.00 is donated to the excel program. Boone is also holding candy sales, bake sales, and there are also donation containers at the high school and middle school.

Every year the state of Iowa host the Special Olympics. Boone High School is the only school district to manage/operate the Fun Fair. The Fun Fair is a place that participants can go and enjoy themselves in between the events they’re in.

In previous years Boone has raised up to $600 in fundraising and donations. This money goes to the purchase of the items they need such as; balloon sculptures, tattoos (air brush or rub-on), face painting, bracelet making, photo booth, nail polishing, and cotton candy.
