As high schoolers are finding their perfect college, senior Sarah Heiller found hers at Iowa State University.
Heiller has been active all four years of high school. She has lettered four years in cross country, danced on the drill team, been involved in student council, National Honor Society (NHS), and FFA. Out of school she has been involved 4-H and dance at Mary Jo’s Dance Studio. Her favorite part of high school was all the memories she made on the cross country and drill team. Heiller said that she will miss her friends that are going to different towns for college.
Heiller chose Iowa State University due to her interest in majoring in Animal Science and minoring in meat science and Spanish. She also chose Iowa State because of their agriculture program. She is looking forward to taking classes that will benefit her in her major.
Heiller is looking to join a sorority on campus. She is unsure of the other activities she will participate in, but she knows that there will be plenty of opportunities for her.
Heiller said, “I am ready to see what my life will lead to from high school. The only thing I am nervous about is that I will not like my major when I start getting into classes.”
Heiller has had many great memories in high school but is looking forward to seeing what Iowa State has for her.
