At Boone High School, there is an issue dealing with students not being able to access the school printers directly. This happening has concerned many staff and students including Mrs. Herrstrom: “I teach Advance Comp, it brings a concern for those students more than my other classes.” Students not having the direct access will change the way teachers deal with assignments and have to change the route teachers use.
With not being able to print, it brings issues also with students wanting to apply for scholarships. “With the scholarships, students will have to print information for the scholarship in order to apply to it.”
Another problem is dealing with extra activities outside of school. Students may need resources for those activities and Junior, Liz Pfannes states; “Speech Team and TSA there’s paperwork and scripts that need to be printed out and a lot of people can’t do that at home.”
There are alternatives, but they are not as convenient. Students have to share their documents with their teachers but then the teachers have to print them and then pick them up with makes teachers have to add more to their busy schedule. Students can also print at the library but that will cost them some money.
