Boone High’s newest English teacher, Rachel Grotzke, has started a Bible study this. The meetings are to be held Thursdays at 7:15 A.M. in her classroom. Grotzke, however, wasn’t the one to originally come up with the idea. Senior Sam Byriel originated the idea because of his love for Christ. “Boone High needs God within the school and people to spread His word,” he said.

Grotzke agreed to be a leader for the Bible study, because she believed Boone High needed more students who weren’t afraid to speak out about Christianity in school. “School is supposed to be a place where you can express who you are and be free to believe in whatever you wish,” she stated.

The Bible study was originated to help students learn about discipleship and evangelism and be able to do these things in their daily lives. Christian discipleship is following Jesus Christ and letting the Holy Spirit work within you. Evangelism is preaching God’s word and spreading the Gospel publicly.

To learn more, students may talk to Mrs. Grotzke in room 2120. Those wishing to join the Bible study should come to the gatherings on Thursday mornings.
