Next week Boone High School will be hosting its annual fall orchestra concert. The concert is scheduled on Thursday November 5th at 7:30pm, and will be held in the school’s auditorium. As done in the past the junior and senior orchestra group will perform first. Then after the performance the freshman and sophomore class will join the juniors and seniors to close out the concert.
The junior and senior class will be performing three arrangements. These arrangements that the upperclassman will be performing are: “Prelude and Courante”, “The Young Prince and Princess”, and the “Three Bagatelles”.
Once the upperclassmen are done performing their songs, the freshman and sophomores will be joining the orchestra to perform an additional seven songs to close out the concert. Five of the seven songs the entire orchestra will be performing are taken from The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time’s soundtrack. The songs taken from the soundtrack are: “The Zelda Main Theme”, “Lost Woods”, “Kakariko Village”, “Hyrule Castle Courtyard”, and “The Zelda Finale”. The remaining two songs are “Concerto in D Minor” and “Sweet Child of Mine”.
The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time soundtrack has been a very enjoyable experience to many performers in the orchestra as it has been apart of many people’s childhood. Everyone in the Boone Orchestra is hoping to share the enjoyable experience to all the viewers and is urging people to join them on the 5th.
