The Bombers came out strong at the beginning of the 3rd quarter. They quickly gained control obtaining the lead over the Toreadors. However, the Toreadors showed some fight maintaining Ballard’s lead to only 10. Boone continued to close the gap, but Ballard continually answered back maintaining their steady lead. The Toreadors could not close the gap losing 40-47. Senior Bailey Turner and Senior Ashton Clemons had a good night for the Toreadors each putting up nine points for the Toreadors. Also, Sophomores Ethan Lewis and Tanner Schminke each contributed five points for Boone. Sophomore Lane Losh says, “We played excellent defense, but one of the main reasons we could not pull of the win was because we just could not get our are shots to fall.” Come support the Toreadors at their home opener against the Norwalk Warriors Saturday, December 13th, starting at 5:00 at Boone High School. |
