The Boone Toreadors fall short to the Carroll Tigers Tuesday night, January 13th. The final scored ended at 69-57.
The Carroll Tigers quickly gained a slight lead over in the Toreadors in the beginning of the first quarter. The Toreadors managed to fight back and decrease the Tiger’s lead to four. The Toreadors continued to decrease the Tigers lead, keeping them scoreless for a few minutes. The Toreadors tied it back up at 8-8. The Toreadors continued to fight, gaining a lead over the Tigers of eight. The Tigers quickly bounced back soon tying the Toreadors, and gaining the lead again.
The Tigers went into the second quarter with a slight lead against the Toreadors. The Tigers continued to advance their lead over the Toreadors throughout the second half. The Toreadors managed to contain their lead to a minimal, but could not close their lead. The Tigers ended the first half with a lead over the Toreadors of 12.
The Tigers came out strong in the second half increasing their lead over Boone. Boone continually gained a few buckets here and there to obtain the Tigers lead to less than 15. The Tigers managed to obtain their lead throughout the third and fourth quarter. Senior Bailey Turner shares his thoughts on the game stating, “We didn’t play well. Were still struggling to become consistent and we have not found that yet.”
