The Boone Girls Basketball team will head to Perry to face the Blue Jays. The Toreadors are looking to finish off their regular season just how they started, on fire. Boone sports a record of 16-4 and is looking to have a successful post-season. Meanwhile, Perry is coming off a rough stretch of games only winning one of their last seven.
The Toreadors will look to sophomore Caitlynne Shadle and freshman Mady Danner to have another good game against Perry. In the last match up against Perry, Shadle put up 13 points while Danner had 14 points. Recently, Boone’s offense has been on fire as they put up 90 points against Carroll this past Tuesday. In fact, the Toreadors in their last three games have outscored their opponents 200-86.
Perry will look to spread the offense around as scoring is pretty even throughout the lineup. They will have to play better defense as they come off a rough stretch of games. Three Perry players lead the team in scoring with six points per game.
The last match up with these two teams was one sided throughout the entire game, as the Toreadors went on to win with a score of 60-30. The first half was close with a halftime score of 26-15. Coming out of halftime, Boone exploded, outscoring Perry 25-6 in the third quarter and the fourth quarter was fairly even. But, the deficit was too large for Perry to overcome.
The Toreadors head to Perry on Friday, February 12th. Tip-off begins at 6 pm.
