The Boone High Girls Tennis team districts are coming up this Saturday the 21st of May at Valley. The top six girls that are playing are freshman Davi Patterson of Gilbert, senior Breanna Sterenberg, junior Morgan Borsh, senior Carlie Romig, junior Grace Krafcisin, and senior Sarah Statz, are feeling ready and are working hard to play at their best. Romig, the number four player on the team is excited to play, “With the regular season going as well as it did, I feel confident that our team will make it really far in postseason.”
Coach Lute Olson has a positive attitude about Saturday, “With this season going as well as it has gone, I feel like the girls are as ready as they can be and I feel like we have a good chance of reaching our goals. We have a balanced group of girls and they are good at pushing themselves and each other to be better at each practice. Also our number one player, Davi, who joined us this season, has been a great aspect to the team.”
Senior Joey Cornelis, player number seven on the team, is excited to cheer for the girls. “I’m really excited for team districts on saturday. Our team has worked so hard not just this season but the past couple of seasons and I genuinely believe that this year is the year our team goes to state. We all deserve it for all of the extra time and effort we have put into it.”
