With a 6 and 8 record, the Toreador Volleyball Team gets ready to host an invitational tournament this weekend. Teams invited include; Algona, Ames, Ankeny, Forest City, Gilbert, South Hardin, and Waverly-Shell Rock. Forest City enters the tournament with the best record at 14-1, and Ankeny leads the tourney field in kills. With this stiff competition, Boone will have many challenging opponents this weekend.

Sophomore, Claire Sandvig, leads the team in kills and blocks while Senior, Carlie Romig, leads the team with twelve serve aces. Sophomore, Jessica Lewis, leads the team with 215 assists and Senior, Steffanie Davis, leads the team with 182 digs.
With the home court advantage, Boone hopes to make their way to the championship and bring home the victory. Be sure to come out and watch the Toreadors take on some of the top teams in the state on Saturday, September 26. Doors open at 9 am.
