“This year we had a young and inexperienced team. However, despite that, we were able to be very competitive in conference play and surprise both fans and opponents with our hard work ethic and young talent. We improved greatly throughout the season and continue to set high goals for next year. They were a very fun group of girls to coach and a lot of fun to watch on the volleyball court,” says head varsity coach Danielle Schmidt.
Senior Stefanie Davis says, “I enjoyed my teammates company, the close friendships, and how hard everyone was willing to work to get better! Something I will miss the most is not being on the Boone high court anymore and the sport in general.”
The varsity team had the goal of improving, surprising people with their talent, and learning to love the game of volleyball. They accomplished all of those goals and next year they will try to improve their season record and continue to improve their team chemistry. They also would like to finish at the very top of the conference.
