Breanna Hunter has recently committed to playing softball for DMACC next year. Being a four time letter winner and varsity softball player since the eighth grade, Hunter is expected to do great things at DMACC. When asked what influenced her decision to play for DMACC, she said, “The coaches were really nice and the players took me in, and the environment is really nice too. It’s also close to home.”
Hunter has been playing softball for a solid ten years, and she says that she has always wanted to go to college to play softball. She also said that the thing she is most looking forward to next year is meeting new people. Her goals for next year are to maintain her grades and to make it to Regionals. As Boone’s leading varsity pitcher, Hunter was a major factor for the team to make it to the final game of Regionals last year, almost making it to state.
Next year at DMACC, Hunter will be playing outfield for the Bears, much different than her present pitching position. However, it is almost certain that Hunter will be as great out in the grass as she is on the mound.
Breanna Hunter will be changing from a Toreador to a Bear. She will do great things at DMACC, and will certainly be leaving a legacy behind at Boone High.
