Senior Dalton Huseman has been a varsity golfer at Boone High for the past three seasons. Recently, he has announced that he will join the DMACC golf team following his senior year.
Huseman says he has spent much of his childhood playing golf, which has helped him gain an edge on the rest of the competition.
“I chose DMACC because it has a great juco golf game program close to home, and I feel like after two years I will have a better shot at playing for a four year school,” says Huseman about his future.
During his junior campaign, Huseman posted a low 9 hole score of 36 strokes, even par. He had the lowest 9 hole average on the team, regularly playing in the number one slot in the varsity lineup.
“I’m not sure what impact I will make on the team yet. I will work on every aspect of my game in the off season and see where I end up,” Dalton says.
In terms of academics, Huseman says he is currently undecided on what his major will be in college.
The Boone boys golf team has set big goals for this season, and with their experience and Huseman’s leadership, those goals are certainly attainable.
Dalton’s work ethic is sure to follow him to the college level, when he begins his career at DMACC next spring.
