Miller learned from his past season and injury to play to the best of your ability. “Go hard every play because you don't know which one will be your last.” said Miller.
He was sidelined all last year with a hip injury. He focused on getting back to 100% and spent his time in the weight room getting back to top form so he can fulfill his expectations for the football program this year.
He has many expectations for the upcoming season, “I need to do my job and put my best effort forth every day at practice.” said Miller.
There are lofty expectations for the team this year, As the Toreadors start the season 3-1, “I think we need to work as a unit and strive for 8-1.” said Miller.
He is a leader on the field, he keeps the beat going and makes sure the line does their job correctly, “We play more as a unit instead of individuals.” said Miller.
People look at him as a role model and leader. He’s shown others what it means to live everyday to your fullest because you don't know when it will all just disappear right before your eyes. Step out of your comfort zone because you might not get the chance to do things again.
“Don't expect anything from anyone. Because expectation, when not fulfilled, gives you pain. When you get something without expecting it, you get pleasure and happiness.” said Miller.
Jackson Miller is looking to continue his success on the gridiron and stay injury free.
