On Tuesday, October 20th there will be a home swimming and diving meet at 6:00 p.m. They will be competing against Grinnell, for their last home meet as well as senior night.
Diving coach, Darci Newcomb said, “We typically have had stronger divers than Grinnell.” The team has already competed and won against Grinnell twice this year. Sophomore diver, Madi Johnson has placed higher than all of their divers except for one and senior diver, Kennedey Bass has beat their number one driver during both of their previous encounters.
Swimming Coach, Chris Mann said, “All the girls are very talented and we hope to end our regular season with a win so we can advance into the conference meets.” Junior swimmer, Madelynn Santi believes that the team will be able to win against Grinnell another time this year and finish their regular season strong.
Coach Mann also said, “This meet will also be senior night. We have three seniors we will be highlighting, Amara Austin, Abbie Lee, and Kennedey Bass. They all have been great leaders throughout high school and have been great captains this year.”
Kennedey Bass says, “ I am excited for the meet. Home meets are always the best, because we get more friends and family to show up and support us.” Don't forget to go out and support the swimming and diving team, for their last home game, as they look to take down Grinnell.
