More than forty girls this year are interested in joining the Boone High track team and were eagerly looking forward to this meeting that begins the season, with this kind of weather, we can feel the season starting!
The girls track coach Mr. Kiesel, started the meeting by giving the girls two white slips with motivational quotes saying “Most of the barriers we run into are because of the limits we put on ourselves.“ and “Don’t complain about the results you didn’t get from the work you didn’t do. “ to remind the girls why they’re doing it and how good they are. Mr. Kiesel did not leave anything out, from attendance rules until team pictures, which he insisted on having all of the team in them because he does not believe that anybody should be left out. Girls are more excited than ever to start practice which begins February 17th for runners and March 2nd for throwers. One of the coach’s main goals was to bring the team closer together and to make them a family, he does not want anybody to feel like they are not a part of this team. With at least 4 girls that have reached second or first place in State competitions whom received certificates for at the beginning of the meeting. Mr Kiesel has very high hopes for this year’s girls track team and he believes that the team will reach great achievements.
