Wilber is a three year letterman in baseball, two year letterman in football and played freshman basketball. He has also be involved in Orchestra, Excel, Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), Grace Youth Group, E-Free Youth Group, and SALT Youth Ministry. Wilber is unsure of what activities he would like to be involved in on campus. His favorite high school memory is state baseball and playing at Principal Park his junior year.
Wilber said, “I am motivated to be in this career due to my passion for teaching and fitness. I chose Dordt because I want to grow in my faith and Dordt is a great place to do that. I really felt they wanted me as a part of the baseball team.”
When Wilber was growing up, he had always dreamed of becoming a professional baseball player. Wilber is excited for making new friends in college. He is scared about paying for college and managing money.
Wilber said, “It felt really good to finally commit. It also relieved a lot of stress. My advice to freshmen it to get into the weight room, it will change your life.”
Best of Luck to Drew Wilber as he follows his goals after high school.
