Coach Schmidt said that Senior Clair Sandvig had a good first match leading the team with 9 kills, and Freshman libero Kenzie Zinnel had a good first match with 14 digs. Overall the team had 20 kills.
The girls then went on to face the Wildcats and it was a very close match. Humboldt pulled out a victory in the end with final scores being 25-21, and 25-17.
Senior Jaiden Huseman felt that the team played really well, “I think we made some errors that may have cost us the game. I think overall our back row did really well and we communicated well as a team.” She thinks that the team need to cut down on errors and “focus more on smart attacks.”
